Every writer on our staff holds at a minimum a master’s degree in writing or in English. Our writers are professionals at envisioning and crafting, and untangling conceptual, organizational, and stylistic problems or inconsistencies. Finally, we can format the text for any presentation or publication.

Dual Divisions

Shadow Writer is comprised of two divisions: Corporate/business writers and creative writers.

The “business” writers are well versed in crafting and editing texts such as standard operating procedures manuals, employee manuals, training manuals and tools, best practices manuals, proposals, reports, promotional material, brochures, resumes, letters, memos, academic texts, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations.

Our “creative” writers are equally versed in crafting and editing novels, non-fiction books, articles, short stories, screenplays and other scripts, web text, critiques and marketability assessments, personal memoirs, book proposals, and professional and personal correspondence.

Founder and President

Axel Dahlberg, the founder and president of Shadow Writer, holds a B.A. degree in English and a M.F.A. degree in writing. He taught writing (both business and creative) for several years at Arizona State University. Axel has been writing ever since he could hold a crayon, initially on walls, couches, and patient animals. He knew he had found his calling when he heard those first encouraging words from Miss Russell, his third-grade teacher, who said, “This is good.” He has never looked back.
